Top team of the week award goes once again to the Seagulls winning both games this week on Friday the Seagulls travelled away to play Greenland’s Cedars coming away with a 8 point to 6 win the winning trips were Mo Taylor, Chris Green skip Dave Taylor: Pam Morgan, Berni Carr skip John Morgan: Ron Garland, Steve Hindle skip Len Daniels: and Barbara Forshaw, Jim Freeman skip Tom Edwards.
Monday the Pathfinders travelled away to play La Siesta Sputniks again winning by 10 points to 4 the aggregate being won on the last end of the last game winners Barbara Forshaw, Jim Freeman skip Tom Edwards: Dave Freeman. Shelia Kirby skip Steve Hindle: Bob Tew, Clive Pratt skip Arthur Cronk: and Mo Taylor, Chris Green skip Dave Taylor, the win keeps the Pathfinders on target to win the league (fingers crossed.)
Friday saw the Sharks at home to our friends from just down the road Monte mar Matadors winning by 10 points to 4 the winners on the day were Ron Maden, Peter Parsons skip Alan Castle: Margaret McLaughlin, Dave Williams skip Jim Donnelly: Tom Spencer, Phil Pape, skip Barry Latham: Andy Bartlett, Roy Hart, skip Graham Norris.
Monday the Explorers were at home to San Luis Trekkers going down by 6 points to 8 the winners Jim Dobbins, Barry Sadler skip Shirley: Tom Spencer, Wendy Latham skip Bill Simms: and Chris Webb, Margaret McLaughlin skip Dave Lewis.
The week was a one to forget for the Dolphins, entertaining the League Champions at home, only Brian Murray, Don Harrison skip Dave O`Sullivan managed pick up 1 point for a draw the rest of the team losing.
The Astronauts travelled to El Rancho on Monday and the result was even worse losing every game it`s always difficult to play at El Rancho but in the wind it`s almost unplayable.
Our Fed 4`s team also suffered a defeat this week away to San Miguel Apaches losing 2 points to 6 our only winners on the day; Barbara Forshaw, Phil Pape, Jim Manning skip Bobbie Simms.
Can`t sign off without asking this question which vice president ( that’s a clue ) and his partner had a hot shot in the club semi finals and STILL lost, answers in writing to me please
