If I have confused two companies then I unreservadly apologise to everyone affected!

Hi, My name is Paul. [With the other company there is also a Paul] I have had my Alarm Business here in Spain for over 11 years. Unfortunately another company has set up with a very similar name. I have NO connection what so ever with this other company. I only hope that the confusion over the similar sounding names does not affect my Business. Paul/Matthew Be Sure Alarms.

Friendlyviking,It is just as well you put the name of the wrong company on here.
I wrote a comment and believe i named the company, that you meant to name.
I believe my comment was deleted entirely

Alan,
I got a lot of stick from a female monitor on this site, apparently my comments were deemed irelevant and it was made clear to me that hers were the only opinions that mattered.
My shoulders are broad and I do not allow myself to be threatened by anyone, however, in fairness my comments were accepted and not deleted.
Such is life!

It appears my comment has been deleted too.

I am sorry that some comments have been taken off the site, it has no reflection on those that made them.
As I am sure you know. I have had to ban a member for the first time and do not want anything on the site that may benefit their business.
Re the comment about a female administrator on the site, is this sometime in the past as we do not have one now?

Steve I dont want to harp on about the rights and wrongs of what you are doing. But a few months ago,a Lady who worked for theDwp gave people invaluable advise on how to claim the winter fuel payment, she asked us not to give her name to the DWP as she was about to leave them and didnt want her reference downgraded by them,A few comments then appeared, that may well of got her in a spot of trouble.I asked you in a comment (as did the Lady involved)to delete the comments on this subject.Having no reply by the next day,I e-mailed you,you replied no comments were deleted.
I cannot understand how a personal arguement between you and another person, can appear so more important than a persons future, who after all had helped many readers with her comments.
I will agree,it is your forum to do with what you want, but I think that sometime in the near future, you should advise us on what is allowed and what isnt on your forum

Commented Alan in La Marina 2013-01-03 13:28:00 UTC

I do my best to let everyone add what they want to the forum and feel its not for me to control what adults say, unless the obvious lines are crossed. And in 2 years I have only taken down post related to one person and that is because they thought it funny to take from a charity.
I do remember the posts that you are on about but the lady in question could have deleted her comments but chose not to.

I have heard and don't know if it is true, that the female administrator you are on about was Stephanie who has since changed her gender and is now named Steve.
For those of you who can't appreciate a sense of humour this was a joke, I think !!!!
I hope I haven't crossed the line,xx

Steve. I am the lady concerned who posted about the winter fuel payment and I did in fact delete my comments but was unable to delete the original post. When I asked you to delete the original post you refused.

To edit your post or comment click EDIT and make the changes you would like its as simple as that

Although there was an option to Edit my original post I was not able to delete it. I have just tried again to delete my post about Winter Fuel Payment and it is still showing on the wall.

Commented Myra Davis in La Marina 2013-01-03 20:05:49 UTC

I have just tried to find out exactly what happens when you try to delete a post on the wall.
I have successfully deleted my last comment on here (no particular reason except to sort it out)
It deleted,no problem.
I then started a new subject and comment, this deleted no problem
Only thing left is will I be able to cancel a comment I have started and have had comments added to by other people.
may try this later, but if someone, who has started a subject tries to delete it, it will save me the aggro.
This looks like what Myra tried to do with her subject and was unable to.

Commented Alan in La Marina 2013-01-04 08:09:44 UTC

That's exactly the problem Alan.

Commented Myra Davis in La Marina 2013-01-04 08:12:07 UTC

Yes,Myra thats what I thought.I wonder if Steve could try,and possibly will realise the problem we have in being unable to to delete the main comment once someone has added a comment to it.

Commented Alan in La Marina 2013-01-04 09:32:39 UTC

Alan,
I made a comment on here and then decided to delete it.
Deleting was not a problem, however, even though I have deleted my comment it seems that the system has not recognised this since I am inundated with an E-mail each time someone else posts a comment.

Commented Friendlyviking in La Marina 2013-01-04 10:42:42 UTC

I think one or two people have had a problem with deleting posts. I found that once logged in, to delete the wording in your post, you find your post by searching for it, press edit, using your cursor scroll across all the wording and then delete all using the delete button on your PC etc.

You will have to put something back on the page like "Post removed" or something else, and then press save. Ive done it myself just a few minutes ago, and it worked.

hope this helps.

It certainly did help Malika. Thanks.
