Like many of you yesterday I picked up local leader paper browsed through it with a nice cup of coffee from AJs and I had a read regarding the new 'K9 era'. Now I agree that sometimes if not all the time things need change and different input and sometimes change is for the good.
One thing I'm very VERY confused on is s statement in the paper. They state in the paper we receive NO government or local funding, but on the website K9 say... To become a member is 10 euro but the larger there membership base is this increases the chance of receiving funding from the valencian government.
So your either receiving funding or your not, because there two contradicting statements.
I'm sure Alan will have a say as from reading his past posts his very keen when it comes to doing things the right way regarding charities and them releasing figures to the public. It's the right thing to do.

Must admit I quickly read the piece in the Leader yesterday,,I didnt take it all in,partly because there had seemed to be some in fighting going on with K9 in recent months,and have not gathered exactly what had been going on.
As for the membership fee,at least it has members who will have votes at meetings.The bone of contention must be if they get enough members,the valencian community will stump up cash.Unfortunately if that is part of K9 going forward,they will have a shock coming to them,I think. The valencian Community is in so much debt,that they cannot pay the Farmacias for the medication that they are dishing out for prescriptions,The Farmacias are themselves facing shortfalls because they have to pay the suppliers for these drugs,and rumour has it that some will have to close down because they have run out of money.So if K9 really believe by increasing membership further it may get them money from valencia,I would only add
You have more chance of pigs flying than you have of getting anything from the valencian Community,in the near future

Do you know of any websites where you can take a look at the valencian figures of what cash is dispensed to whom and where.
