VACANCY – WELFARE OFFICER ( VOLUNTARY POSITION )

The Help Association is concerned with the welfare of the community and can assist where, for instance, a person is facing problems such as a decline in health, or the need to change living arrangements due to ill health or disability.

We have now got a Welfare Officer in La Marina, but due to the increase in demand for visits we are seeking additional Volunteers to take on the duties of Welfare Officer. These volunteers would ideally be qualified and registered nurses who have had previous experience in assessing the health needs of individuals, and can provide them with practical help and advice.
Duties will involve
Make home visits, giving advice and information about care and help in the home.
Monitoring the progress of individuals’ health and ensure that further support is offered as needed from institutions such as Social Services, Police, hospitals and care providers.
Acting as advocate between pensioners and their families who may live abroad,
Supporting individuals in the choices they make about their future.

If you are able to fill these Volunteer posts please contact
R Garland, Secretary ,Association Help Vega Baja

Telephone 966 723 733

Email [email protected]

Should you wish to discuss any welfare issue, or if you know of somebody else in need or difficulties, please contact the Help Association.
