Electric

I use Iberswitch. They have just changed my supplier again. Trying to work it out I saved something in the region of 150 euros last year. Not to be sniffed at. I can spend it on wild nights out in even wilder bars.

Gosh Eve, lucky you. Our electric bill for our 2 dear months was .....392E. We're in El Oasis so not big houses. I think we're going to install the modern thin radiators to try and cut costs. I get really cross when people in Uk question our right to heating allowance. Regardless of what our weather is, all we're getting is what we've paid into for years. It's not charity, it's a right that was earned. I'm afraid I go on and on about this, ad infinitum and get very boring

Its only a question but do I understand right that even though you live in Spain you can get heating allowance when it is cold in the U.K?

Hi Maz we do spend about 1,100 euros a year on electric. We have 4 aircon units in our two bedded house with lounge and independant kitchen. I have been told that those small heater panels are not very efficient but if anyone else has got them and find them good then I would consider them in my bedrooms. As to the fuel allowance Tina, if you received it in England before you came out then you will still get it, but not if you left England before.
