Hola all our Spanish Life friends.

Please don't forget our Pooch Mooch on Sunday, 18th March, raising money to look after the abandoned dogs that are cared for at the Sancutary.

Everyone is welcome to take part - sponsor forms are available from the S.A.T. Charity Shop at the top of the urbanization and you can either walk you own dog, or one from the kennels.

Please support Linda as we have over 100 abandoned or ill treated dogs in the kennels who need feeding and some TLC. Every euro helps. If you had seen the state Sarah Dos was in when she was taken in by the kennels it would have broke your heart. To see her now you would not recognise her as the same dog. S.A.T. never have a dog put down unless it is absolutely necessary.

Jo who was the manager of the S.A.T. shop in La marina before I took over sent me this e-mail today.

This would have been written by a dog if he could write:

Before humans die, they write their last will and testament, give their home & all they have to those they leave behind,if, with my paws I could do the same, this is what I'd ask.

To a poor and lonely stray I would give:

My happy home.
My bowl & cozy bed, soft pillows & all my toys.
The lap, which I loved so much.
The hand that stroked my fur & the sweet voice that spoke my name.

I'd will to the sad, scared shelter dog, the place I had in my human's loving heart, of which there seemed no bounds.

So, when I die, please do not say "I will never have a pet again, for the loss and pain is more than I can stand".

Instead, go find an unloved dog, one whose life has held no joy or hope and give MY place to HIM.

This is the only thing I can give....

Linda I am not yet living there and will probably be in Torrevieja when I do! so cannot donate to the sanctuary unless you know of an easy way to do that from South Africa? But I will ask my sister who lives in Quesada if she will donate for the dogs.

Dogs bring so much love and pleasure, I can never understand how or why humans hurt or abandon them.

So please help us to help our dogs being loved and cared for at S.A.T.'s by sponsoring the Pooch Mooch Please.

Yes the e-mail Eve received was really nice.
Linda is so true in what she says about how badly some dogs are treated by some Human Beings.
Unfortunately some Human beings also treat other human beings with the same disrespect.Luckily these disrespectful morons are in the minority.
So luckily the majority of People and Animals,can and do live decent lives.
So the best we can do is to try tostop the morons behaving like morons.
